Services We Provide

Making A Difference in the Lives of Children


Children Advocacy Training's goal is changing and shaping lives in the community. The work we do at Children Advocacy Training aims at providing the latest research on education and child development. We provide training to parents, teachers, and professionals to empower them on ways to care and understand children's development.

Parenting Classes

At Children Advocacy Training, we provide parenting classes to assist parents in raising their children. We cover a variety of topics including child development, discipline, and nutrition.

Nursery School

Training

We provide training to teachers and professionals who are working with children. Topics include child abuse reporting, transitions, and classroom management.

Professional Growth

We offer professional growth workshops to improve teaching skills. The workshops can count toward professional growth hours that are required of teachers to maintain their permits and credentials.

About the Executive Director & Trainer

Dr. MyTra Nguyen-Vu has been in the child development field and early childhood education for the last 31 years. She fell in love with education when she was in the 2nd grade. She knew at 8 years old that she wanted to be a teacher. She has her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education, Masters of Arts in Child Development, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Nguyen-Vu has written Court-Mandated Parenting Curriculum for several non-profit agencies in the State of California. She has also taught the California Youth Authority and Court-Mandated parenting classes for Social Services and local non-profit agencies. Dr. Nguyen-Vu has taught children from infancy through college level. She loves children, and she is committed to advocating on their behalf. Dr. Nguyen-Vu believes that children are worth our time and energy because they deserve the very best to reach their full potentials.
